Ghana’s efforts against climate change have been haphazard -Kufuor

imageFormer president John Agyekum Kufuor has called on government to make a consented effort to help deal with global concerns on climate change.

According to him, efforts being made in Ghana and across the world have been “haphazard and static.”

Ex-president Kufuor made these observations on Accra-based Joy FM following his appointment as a United Nations Special Envoy on Climate Change.

The United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, made the appointment which also saw the honour conferred on former Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg.

The two special envoys are expected to mobilize political will and action ahead of the 2014 Climate Summit.
